1. It is important to always rinse your swimsuit when you leave the sea or the pool
A little running water will eliminate all traces of salt, sand or chlorine which in the long run will deteriorate the costume.
2. Hand washing your costume is the best choice
The washing machine is the most comfortable method of washing, it is true, but for the costumes it would be preferable to wash by hand, even the most delicate machine washes ruin the fibers of the fabric and above all compromise the elasticity. The first thing to do is to leave the swimsuit to soak in warm water (max 30 °) and to remove all traces of dirt, add a spoonful of baking soda. After a soaking phase, simply rub the dirtiest areas with Marseille soap and then rinse with cold water.
3. How to remove sand
When you spend the summer on the beach, the swimsuit is punctually filled with sand, even inside the fibers. To remove it, the best solution is to pass it under a direct stream of water trying to expand the fibers and rubbing gently.
4. Eliminate grease and sunscreen stains
Against obvious stains from sun creams and oils, it is necessary to pre-treat the stains and, if necessary, use a mixture of half a cup of water and a quarter of a cup of Marseille soap before washing.
